A Note From The CEO

Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wabarakatuh

CENTEXS was conceived on October 2014 to undertake the clarion call by Governor of Sarawak Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and The Right Honoroble Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Hj Adenan Hj Satem to train more technical people in meeting the State needs to industralize. Taking a cue from the Great Industrial Revolution or "La Revolution Industrielle" that applied to technological change in 1800's, Sarawak has launched its own 1st wave of industrialization with the construction of a multi-billion dollar oil and gas facilities in 80's in Bintulu in the like of MLNG, LNG Dua, LNG Tiga, SMDS, ABF, Bintulu port n host of other industries.

The 2nd wave of Industrialization elegantly coincided with the new Millennium that saw the construction of the hydroelectric dams to propel SCORE (Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy) industries. SCORE comprises a multi-billion dollar metallurgical industries involving energy intensive smelting of polycrystalline and metallic silicone, aluminium, ferro alloys and many more. With two centuries of lesson learnt from the Industrial Revolution in Europe and North America, Sarawak has driven itself to achieve the Developed State status soon enough by strengthening its GDP thus raising the income of its citizens.

With this rapid industrialization, the industry players are consequently in dire needs for thousands of technically competent workforce not only for the construction stages but also for the eventual operations and expansion. Henceforth CENTEXS was incorporated to rise up to this challenge of training and grooming our young generations in meeting the technical and professional needs of these State-of-the-Art industries.

From consultations with the Government agencies n major industry players, CENTEXS has identified key areas of trades as our foray. CENTEXS will initially focus on the trades of Oil and Gas, Construction, Manufacturing and Mechatronics. CENTEXS training modules are also poised to meet the industry gold standard in tandem with the local and international standards for technical training therefore giving trainees assurance of premium careers upon successful completion of their programs.

The present technical workforce in Sarawak serving in the various industries however, will not be left behind with the introduction of CENTEXS RPL or Recognition of Prior Learning Certification soon to be introduced in Sarawak. A chain of workshops and job assessments has been conducted for technical employees hungry to obtain recognised certificates. This innovation is intended to increase not only workforce income but also in giving them more job options. Collectively, these efforts will eventually lead to steady increase in Sarawak GDP per Capita. At CENTEXS, we build Sarawak technical workforce of tommorow, today!

Thank you.

Setting the Gold Standard for Technical Training.
